Panama, officially known as the Republic of Panama, is a country located at the southern tip of Central America. In the past, Panama was part of Costa Rica and Colombia. The Panama Canal which was controlled by America in the past, is now a major source of revenue for the Panamanian state. The abundant terroir provides a fine sugarcane used in the making of rum.
